While Olivia can’t quite find her words, Elliot knows just what she means.
It had been suffocating to a degree, with so many people so willingly all
over each other. Overcrowded with the smells of booze and sweat wasn’t
exactly the most appealing thing, and he’s damn glad for the cool air
conditioning of their hotel room. When she moves, he reacts without question
to step back and stop blocking the doorway. There’s no hesitation of physical
contact and the bit of a push that she gives him causes Elliot to grin a little -
only to turn away with his back to her, chin tucked down to avoid catching a
glimpse by mistake in the bathroom mirror.

It’s a matter of respect held to his partner, but common damn
decency too. Instead, he steps forwards towards the sink, roles
his sleeves back, runs the cold water tap and leans down to splash
it in his face, still trying to get rid of the hazy feeling from earlier.
When Olivia speaks again, he looks up, catching her glance in the
mirror as he straightens, turning around and walking out towards her.

             “You could say that,”

He alludes to the fact that the woman involved with Jerry, Cassandra, had taken
a liking to him immediately, but it had provided plenty of insight towards his night
life at the club. Instead of just standing, he moves to sit down on the other corner
of the bed, letting out a tired sigh before working at the buttons for his shirt.

“She liked getting up close and personal right
off the bat. From what she said about Jerry,
she’s got him hook, line, and sinker.”

While he holds judgment to himself, there wasn’t anything that could
make him think about falling for her lure. He isn’t played so easily,
and it comes from the years of collaring perps of all varieties. He notes
when Olivia returns from the fridge, pulling off the white shirt to leave
 him in an undershirt.

“You want somethin’ cold to drink?” He offers, brows raising. There’s water
from the tap of course, but an ice and vending machine are down the hall.
Blue eyes glance in Olivia’s direction, looking for confirmation.

“Doubt they have room service this late.”

she could use a drink. she’d like to opt for something hard, wash down
a few vicodin and call it a night, but she knows that in order to keep her
head straight she would have to settle for something a little… lighter. pushing
herself further up the bed, she lets her back rest against the head board
and stretches her legs out. letting out a sigh, she nods.

❛ a drink sounds good, thanks.

reaching over to the her side, olivia grabs her clutch and pulls out a few
singles, tossing them in his direction. she’s in for the night, no way she’s
getting out of bed, and the least she could do was compensate him for making
the run. before he has a chance to stand, she speaks.

❛ … y’know, as much as i hate to say it, it was a good night.

she was grumpy, she was tired, but she couldn’t be mad at the fact that they
were able to gather a bit of valuable information. olivia with the couple she
had met, and elliot with cassandra. she had done her best to stay on task,
but she couldn’t help watching the two of them throughout the night. the touches,
wandering gazes, the way her hands were never far from him… it made her
blood boil, though                    she was good at hiding it.

❛ i’m just amazed at how those people can do this, the whole
'’swinger’’ thing. doesn’t it get exhausting after a while?

she shakes her head, bringing her legs up to her chest. the idea of polygamy
was so taboo to her. she always tried to keep an open mind, especially when
the subject was this important to the case. but the way she saw it, intimacy was
to be shared between two people, the thought of sharing a partner was just
     calling for jealously

she raises her hands, dismissing any further talk about the topic. her
headache was already pounding, and she didn’t want to make it any worse.
hands fall back to her lap, and one reaches for the remote on the bedside
table. to save the both of the trouble of her indecisiveness, she tosses it
in elliot’s direction. save the channel surfing for him.

❛ want me to come with you to get drinks? ❜
